If you are looking for a training that will help you connect with your dog on a whole new level, this is it!
From the beginning, the core of Oregon Tails goal was to enjoy, and to help others enjoy to the fullest extent. We began as an off-leash, unstructured dog walking service in Northeast Portland in 2008. It quickly became evident that we needed to learn how to support dogs so that they were able to overcome their need to chase other animals, defend themselves, or let their excitement, fears or anxiety take over their actions.
What Oregon Tails is today is the product of our time spent devoting our lives to learning how to communicate in such a way that each dog we interact with feels supported, heard, felt and enjoyed.

I have had the honor of working with dogs for close to 30- years, as well as horses and other livestock animals during this time and the Jentle Method, taught by the owners and founders of Oregon Tails is an amazing way of learning to work with and communicate with your dog or dogs you may work with. Not only do they teach how your dog communicates, and how you can effectively communicate with them, but they also teach the importance of your body language, voice and pitch when working and communicating with your dog. You can check out their workshops, book on the Jentle Method and leash (which I also love!) here: OREGON TAILS

Kong carries some of our favorite toys and chews. The Knots collection as well as some of the classic Kong chews are great healthy outlets to keep your puppies drive to chew safer. *Please introduce and share toys with your dogs responsibly and with supervision. When pieces start to break off, be sure to throw all pieces away to help avoid choking or blockage.

I spent months researching and asking what others feed their dogs, what they love and don't love about their food. We heard great things about TLC Pet Food and did the research, their dog food has the highest rating available with Dog Food Advisor so we decided to make the switch and my dogs could not be happier! Their coats are beautiful, their body condition has improved immensely, they have healthy stools with virtually no smell. In addition, TLC has no history of recalls and carries the highest ratings on Dog Food Advisor.

What I love is that TLC Petfood is a European based company and follows EU guidelines for the ingredients they have in their food. TLC also makes the commitment to source their meat from reliable sources and not from rendering plants. In addition their food is:
  • Manufactured by a small company
  • Features multiple protein sources
  • No ingredients sourced from China
  • Food manufactured on demand once ordered
  • Recipes developed by nutritionist

Visit TLC PET FOOD and receive $5.00 of your first order. We recommend that you feed their puppy formula until your Lab is 6-mo of age, and then move to the All Stages.

Lifetime Training:  We are proud partners with Baxter & Bella. Amy and Scott Jensen, the founders and creators of Baxter & Bella believe by helping families train their own dogs to be calm, well-mannered and better-behaved, more people will experience the joys of lifetime canine companionship, and more dogs will remain in loving homes where they belong!

We highly recommend their Lifetime Membership, which begins with their series on getting prepared for your new puppy to come home and offers training and support from the first day. There is no limit to how many times you can repeat a class or series of classes. Baxter & Bella is an on-line platform that combines the opportunity for specific training or behavior searching, pre-recorded webinars, classes geared for kids, real-time training in an on-line class environment that lets you connect with other dog owners and most importantly, the opportunity to schedule one-on-one sessions with a Baxter & Bella team member for assistance and support. Check out their Curriculum Checklist to see the wide variety of class offerings. For Baxter & Bella tips, check out their Free Resources page.

I chose to partner with Baxter & Bella because our values for pet owners, working dog partners, and breeders align. They believe that supporting a canine partnership is meaningful work, that can be affordable and available to all.  In addition, as a Willow Kane Farm Labrador family member, you also receive an additional 25% off if you use our code: WILLOWKANEFARM
(Lifetime Membership and access is $178.50 with our code),
